Hello everyone! Today I worked on a card for my dad's birthday. His favorite color is purple so I had to think hard about what I could make without it being too girly. Sooo here is the steps I took to make a super cute card. Let me know what you think and also if you have tips. I love receiving comments.
Ingredients
Paper: Snapdragon purple, Carob brown, green, tan (BazzilBasicPaper)
Markers: B24,BG45,R29, R08, Y38 (copic sketch)
Stamp: Dad clear stamp (studio G), woodgrain stamp
Ink: Brown, Alabaster (color box)
Ribbon: Hemp cord 20lb
Border: scallop w/ circle (Fiskar)
Pen: white (Inkssentials)
so I started off with a purple 6X6 card
tip ** when you fold your card, bend the paper on both sides to see which one folds easier than the other. This prevents from the paper getting cracks at folded line.** - nothing like having a beautiful card with cracks on it, not pretty.
I also used my Martha Stewart bone folder and made a line at 6 inches.
then cut 4X5 inches of the brown paper, and stamped the woodgrain stamp on it. In the next picture you can see a little bit that I made the edges look I little torn and rough. I used my Fiskars knife and filed the edges then used alabaster (tan color) and marked the edges.
Last I used my Martha Stewart circle cutter which you can see in the next picture.
I drew out my own bird because I didnt have a stamp and added Man of the House. What do you think? I really liked how it turned out! Thank you for looking and come again.
